Inspectors from various EU member states participated in the inspections, using a standardized checklist to evaluate landfill operations.

The project resulted in a draft guidance document and checklist for landfill inspections, intended to promote consistent application of the Landfill Directive across EU member states. Inventarizačná analýza riadenia skládok odpadov v Európe

Správa skúma nezrovnalosti pri implementácii smernice o skládkach odpadov. Zameriava sa na kritické oblasti, ako sú postupy prijímania odpadu, plány odberu vzoriek, požiadavky na predbežnú úpravu a monitorovacie protokoly, pričom odhaľuje rôzne vnútroštátne prístupy, ktoré môžu viesť k nerovnomernému presadzovaniu a ochrane životného prostredia. V správe sa navrhujú odporúčania pre Európsku komisiu a členské štáty na odstránenie zistených nedostatkov a podporu harmonizovaných postupov nakladania so skládkami v celej EÚ.

Správa obsahuje analýzu rôznych prístupov k hodnoteniu potreby úpravy pred skládkovaním, analýzu kritérií a technológií na úpravu odpadov,  návod na povolenie miešania odpadov - pripomienky k spoločnej metodike hodnotenia ANC pri nakladaní so stabilným nereaktívnym odpadom, návrhy na správnu kontrolu na posúdenie dodržiavania úpravy BRKO aj priemyselného odpadu.
