Inspectors from various EU member states participated in the inspections, using a standardized checklist to evaluate landfill operations.

The project resulted in a draft guidance document and checklist for landfill inspections, intended to promote consistent application of the Landfill Directive across EU member states. Analiza inventarului privind gestionarea depozitelor de deșeuri în Europa

Raportul examinează inconsecvențele în punerea în aplicare a Directivei privind depozitele de deșeuri. Acesta se concentrează pe domenii critice, cum ar fi procedurile de acceptare a deșeurilor, planurile de eșantionare, cerințele de pretratare și protocoalele de monitorizare, dezvăluind abordări naționale diferite care pot duce la o aplicare inegală și la o protecție inegală a mediului. Raportul propune recomandări pentru Comisia Europeană și statele membre pentru a aborda lacunele identificate și pentru a promova practici armonizate de gestionare a depozitelor de deșeuri în întreaga UE.
