The project resulted in a draft guidance document and checklist for landfill inspections, intended to promote consistent application of the Landfill Directive across EU member states. Análisis de inventario sobre la gestión de vertederos en Europa

El informe examina las incoherencias en la aplicación de la Directiva sobre vertederos. Se centra en áreas críticas como los procedimientos de aceptación de residuos, los planes de muestreo, los requisitos de pretratamiento y los protocolos de seguimiento, revelando diferentes enfoques nacionales que pueden conducir a una aplicación y protección medioambiental desiguales. El informe propone recomendaciones para que la Comisión Europea y los Estados miembros aborden las lagunas detectadas y promuevan prácticas armonizadas de gestión de vertederos en toda la UE.
