o presente relatório apresenta os resultados da secção do Projeto de Deposição em Aterro da IMPEL centrada na aplicação pelos Estados-Membros da UE do artigo 6.º da Diretiva 1999/31/CE relativa à deposição de resíduos em aterros, a fim de investigar a situação nos Estados-Membros no que diz respeito à deposição em aterro de resíduos não tratados. Foi distribuído um inquérito preliminar. O relatório inclui - uma análise das diferentes abordagens para avaliar a necessidade de um tratamento antes da deposição em aterro - uma análise dos critérios e tecnologias para o tratamento de resíduos - instruções de autorização para a mistura dos resíduos - observações sobre uma metodologia comum para avaliar os ANC quando se trata de resíduos estáveis não reactivos - sugestões para uma proposta de diretiva relativa à deposição em aterro de resíduos não tratados

Landfill project (2013)
This report summarizes the findings of joint inspections of landfills in the Czech Republic, Croatia, and Poland conducted in 2013.he inspections focused on criteria and procedures for accepting waste, gas control, protection of soil and water, including groundwater, water control and leachate management. Landfill Inspection Project Report Zaandam meeting (2016)

Orientações para fazer funcionar a economia circular
Um elemento crucial na transição para a economia circular são as inovações nas instalações de produção e reciclagem que visam a eficiência dos recursos, a prevenção de resíduos e a utilização de resíduos de produção ou materiais recuperados de resíduos como matérias-primas secundárias. Uma condição fundamental para que estas inovações circulares funcionem é uma melhor ligação entre as políticas, a legislação e a regulamentação no terreno. As presentes orientações foram desenvolvidas para apoiar os reguladores, os decisores políticos e legislativos e as empresas na viabilização e concretização dessas inovações e na resposta a alguns dos desafios comummente partilhados.
O relatório contém as actas da Conferência MIW&IMPEL, onde foram lançadas as “Orientações para os reguladores sobre a viabilização de inovações para a economia circular (prevenção e reciclagem de resíduos)”
Livro de orientação para as inspecções de aterros (versão revista de 2016)
Uma vez que uma inspeção a um aterro sanitário tem de abranger diferentes assuntos. Com base no projeto da IMPEL&rsquo sobre Aterros Sanitários, a equipa de inspeção decidiu escolher determinados assuntos para focar neste guia, nomeadamente:
(1) Critérios e procedimentos para a aceitação de resíduos.
(2) Controlo de gases.
(3) Proteção do solo e da água (águas subterrâneas).
(4) Controlo de águas e gestão de lixiviados.
Esta orientação contém, para cada um dos assuntos acima mencionados, uma breve descrição, incluindo os requisitos da Diretiva Aterros no que diz respeito a esta atividade. Em segundo lugar, é feita referência a (conhecer) orientações e ferramentas existentes nos estados membros da UE.
