Mapping of the European Agencies involved in implementing the environmental acquis

This document provides a comprehensive overview of the membership of the European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law (IMPEL). The report highlights that although IMPEL has a significant membership base, opportunities exist to expand membership, particularly at the regional and local levels, as well as in the thematic areas of nature and water. The report suggests that engaging with associations of local government and implementing a strategy to attract members from these underrepresented areas could enhance IMPEL's reach and effectiveness. The document also includes a detailed annex that lists potential members from each IMPEL member country, categorized by their thematic areas of expertise.
