This report details the activities and deliverables of the IMPEL Knowledge and Information Programme (KIP) from 2022 to 2024. KIP was established as a proof-of-concept project to support IMPEL Expert Teams in developing tools, training materials, and disseminating project results, thereby enhancing connectivity and capacity building within the IMPEL network. This document outlines the KIP team's efforts in areas such as website development, the creation of guidance documents, the delivery of training activities, and the introduction of an e-learning tool to further support the implementation of EU environmental legislation.
KIP Support Conference for Ukraine/ 2024

The report summarizes the Prague Ukraine Support Conference held on December 10, 2024, which aimed to identify how IMPEL and its partners could support the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine (SEI). During the conference, presentations were given on various topics based on needs identified during an IMPEL Review Initiative and by partner organizations, including discussions on the reform and transformation of the SEI, the use of general binding rules, risk assessment, IT solutions, and accountability for wartime environmental damage. The main outcomes and next steps included creating a network of experts to support Ukraine via IMPEL's Basecamp and establishing a Coordination Support Group for Ukraine (CSGU) to identify needs, seek funding, and develop support projects.
