Onboard a ferry in the Western Mediterranean Sea, more than 40 experts convened for the IMPEL EU Marine Transborder Transects (MTT) joint meeting from October 22nd to 24th. This gathering featured workshops, seminars, and practical exercises aimed at harmonizing data stewardship for monitoring cetaceans and turtles using ferries and cargo ships as research vessels, all within the EU environmental legislative framework. The transfer of knowledge and capitalization between projects, partners, and IMPEL members proved exceptionally fruitful.
